For Jewish people, helping those in need is a commandment, a sacred obligation. The Hebrew word for giving to those in need is “Tzedakah,” but it doesn’t just mean charity. “Tzedakah” comes from the Hebrew word “tzedek”, which means righteousness or justice, so giving Tzedakah is not just a nice thing to do; Jewish people believe that it is the just or right thing to do.

Write about the different ways you help and give to others.
