This is an essential part of how children learn and something that is a big part of your child’s learning in Hedgehogs. We therefore want this to continue at home 😊.

 

Phonics

 

Phonic sound of the week - igh, oa

Reading

Ideally 10 mins each day but see how you go.

Writing

 

If you have any dinosaur themed story books please share together. Can you then create a list of food your dinosaur would like to eat? Can you challenge yourself to then write a sentence about their dinosaurs favourite meal e.g. He eats smelly socks etc.  Anything goes! See if they can have a go on their own first using their phonic knowledge. Use your child’s tapestry writing observations to see examples.

 

If they build/ make anything in the week during their play can they continue to add a label?

 

Imaginative

 

Can you make a picture using things found in your garden?

 

 

Maths
