Admissions Consultation

The School Admissions Code requires all schools to annually determine admission arrangements that clearly set out how children will be admitted, including the school’s Published Admissions Number (PAN) and over-subscription criteria.

Academies, Voluntary Aided, Foundation, Free and UTC schools are legally required to hold a public consultation on their admission arrangements at least once every 7 years’, even if there have been no changes during that period.

A public consultation must also be held where a school wishes to make changes to their admission arrangements to allow interested parties to respond to proposals.

It has been 7 years or more since St Katharine's held a consultation.

A complete guide to the consultation process can be found here and on pages 18 – 19 of the Code.

Prior to the consultation, the admissions policy has been approved by the Diocese. (Confirmed 3rd October 2023) and we are now in the public consultation section of the time table.

The consultation will run for 6 weeks from Wednesday 4th October 2023 until Wednesday 15th November 2023.

Any comments will then be reviewed by the Governing body before the policy is approved a Full meeting of the Governors in early 2024.

Please send any comments on the policy to headteacher@knockholt.kent.sch.uk
