Our Rich Heritage
Welcome to St Katharine’s Knockholt Church of England Primary School, where our history runs deep and our community thrives. We take pride in our journey and the stories that shape us today. There has been a school in Knockholt for over 250 years and we have been in our present building since 1901. That means our 125th anniversary of being on this site is coming up in 2026. Keep checking back for details about how we will be celebrating!
Educational Journey
Over the years we have grown and, for the past 20 years, have been a single-form entry school. We believe we are the perfect size for our learners – small enough for everyone to get to know each other but big enough to grow with our children and get them ready for the next phase of their education. We have seven classes that support children through each stage of their primary education, from Early Years to Year 6. Each class is led by a dedicated teacher and supported by skilled teaching assistants, providing a nurturing environment where children feel safe, inspired, and ready to learn. We follow a broad and balanced curriculum, tailored to meet the developmental needs of each age group. As children progress through the school, they build on their knowledge, skills, and confidence, preparing them for the next stage of their learning journey.
It takes a village to raise a child...
We have deep and meaningful connections with both St Katharine’s Church and the village and our children regularly support Church and village events. The sun shone on the village carnival and we even won a trophy for the best walking parade!

The Latin motton on the St Katharine’s logo reads:
Per laborem ad praemium – velut apis
The literal translation is “Hard work brings reward – like the bee”.
Our houses are named after different types of bees – bumble, carder, honey and mason and our children take pride in working together like busy bees.
