30th March

Dear Badgers and parents, well done to everyone who has submitted work so far. I have seen some lovely paintings of daffodils. Have any of you studied the Rousseau Power Point and been working on your rainforest art yet?

There are only 2 days of school this week so I have not set much work. The biggest task is the RE lesson and writing from Mrs Bennett. I shall be forwarding these pieces of work to her if you email them to me, please by Wednesday morning 1st April 9am.

Please see Power Points and worksheets for each of these:

RE – lesson and letter writing for Mrs Bennett

Spellings – new weekly spelling activities and Power Point

Maths – spring booklet with answers provided to be completed before next term please. Answer sheet so you can mark the maths test from last week on ratio and proportion.

Art – please start/continue your Rousseau piece of work from last week

DT – over the Easter holidays try making your own animal corner bookmarks – photograph these, email your photos and I will share with the class at the beginning of next term. Mrs Tuxworth and I will decide whose is the best!

Writing – during the holidays please get down to writing your 500 words ‘Exploration and Expedition’ for the Knockholt Carnival Story Writing Competition. Entries to be submitted vis email to story@knockholtcarnival.org.uk  by 15 April please.

Reading – don’t forget, even in the holidays, 45 minutes a day of your high-quality text will help you to maintain your reading ages.

Finally, I hope you are all remaining well and can find some fun activities to enjoy within your households during the Easter period. It is really sad not to be seeing your smiling faces everyday but hopefully it won’t be too long until we are together again.

Best wishes, Mrs LD
