30th March

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to say a huge thank you for all the hard work and support you have been giving your child / children this week, and how proud I am of all the work that has been completed.  I appreciate how difficult it must be maintaining your own careers and daily routines, without the added stress of tutoring a 5/6 year old but I am very impressed with the outcome.  Luckily for us, the sunshine has been out and made this first week of isolation manageable (and even enjoyable) and it has been wonderful to see that many of you have been flexible with the planning and embraced being outdoors with their learning as much as possible.  Online learning and worksheets will always be there for those rainy days and when the children are more used to their home learning routine.  For those of you that have not accessed the Purple Mash activities, please feel free to email pictures or photos of the children working or their completed pieces as it would be lovely to see what they have been doing.

This week is a short planning week with only two days.  I cannot stress enough how reading and phonics should continue during the Easter break but obviously I have not set work for this time.  Feel free to continue to explore Purple Mash and other websites during the holidays if you wish, as it can be helpful structuring the days when we are all locked in.

I wish you all a happy and healthy Easter.  Good luck and God’s blessings.

Sarah Santry
